In today’s often divided, polarised society, it’s difficult to discuss contentious issues in a fun, friendly, yet insightful way. Weighty banter kicks off the discussion with a simple match-the-argument game which steers players to see the basics of both sides of the argument, regardless of their opinions. Once “warmed up”, players can choose to go deeper or move on to the next topic.

Simple Rules

One player/team simply draws a card face-down and a nominated reader reads out the statement. Each of the two teams are randomly assigned the for or the against argument and have to try guess the two arguments for their stance written on the card. Here’s a bit more detail…
